Isn't there an implicit Appeal to Authority (among perhaps other fallacies) in adhering to the words in an ancient book without any evidence of its truth?

This truth of this post is just what I needed to read right now. Good insights. Thanks for writing it and sharing what the Lord is teaching you. Waiting is indeed hard, but it helps to remember that God is in control and that periods of waiting are part of His plan for our lives.

Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word created by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand.

Religion is a disease of the mind, born of fear, which has done nothing but bring untold misery down upon the human race.

I just saw that you replied. I thought the show was only ok. I really like bands that interact with the crowd, and they did not. It was just like listening to the cd in person. What did you think? If you're interested, reply back to my myspace, I check that more frequently. http://www.myspace.com/sarahmo79

Thankyou for sharing this article insight and reminder how important it is to "follow through". Parenting is tough work. And it is all that more important in a day when most parents seem to just write off disrespectful behaviors.
I recommend a book to anyone by John Rosemond struggling with finding the balance and knowing what to correct. It is titled 'Raising a Non-Violent Child'. It's excellent, Godly in principle. Sounds pretty intense, but behaviors left to run their course can have future effects no one wants to see, as you've so well presented in this article. Thanks
